The Lofts at 402 Julia Street are 24 units in a four story building. The bottom floor is commercial space with an art gallery. There are 18 one bedroom units and 6 two bedroom units over looking Tchoupitoulas Street. The one bedroom units tend to be small.
There is a parking lot behind the building but once you buy you have to be on a waiting list to rent a spot. The nice feature of the condos is the central location. The condo fees are moderate since there are little common areas except a small rooftop deck and plastic pool.
The Lofts were turned into condo around 2007. The do feature exposed brick walls, exposed beams, warehouse windows and high ceilings. The best one bedroom units are on the Julia Street side of the building. Large windows and great street views.
You are next door to the Childern's Museum and across the street from Emeril's Restaurant.
