     The Whitney and Sloo Condos was once a leather factory and warehouse before being turned into condos. The 5 story building has 27 units and a couple of penthouses on the top floor. There are a few large one bedroom units with a little over 1000 sq. ft. of living area. The two bedrooms are also large with most being above 1400sq. ft. 

    There are a lot of windows in the building. There is a lot of exposed brick and beams. The rooms in the units tend to be on the large size for New Orleans Warehouse District Condos. Large Bathrooms and Large Closets with open floor plans are the norm.

    The first floor is mostly parking. All the units have garage parking. Several units have tow spots. The elevator is in the lobby adjacent to the garage and right inside the front entrance. The condo fees are moderate for units this size.

    The 3000 sq. ft. rooftop deck offers some great city views and areas to bar b que. Over the years many of the units have been updated by the owners. You do not see a lot of turnover in the building. I have had two listing in the building and both buyers were full time residents who worked in downtown New Orleans where they could walk to work.
