The Henderson Condos
700 Commerce Street
Between Notre Dame and Girod
New Orleans Warehouse District

The Henderson Condos were one of the first condo associations formed in the Warehouse District when they were converted from rentals into condos in the mid 1990's. The sixty units cover three floors and the association take up the 700 block of Commerce.
There is a parking garage behind the units on Commerce Street but few units have parking on site. You generally have to rent a spot in a nearby lot.
The condo fees are moderate. The condo features a great party room on the roof with a small courtyard with grills and great city views. There is also a small gym and secure entrance on Commerce Street. The units have exposed brick, beams, and hardwood floors. The ceilings are high and high enough to build a loft within the units.
In my opinion the best units are on the exterior of the building facing Commerce,Girod and Notre Dame. They are generally all on one level and feature lots of natural light. The back units only have windows to the atrium and are loft style units with small patios.
Most of the units are one bedroom units. Many of the two bedroom units have at least one loft bedroom. All have inside laundries and small kitchens.
A lot of upgrades have been done to the Henderson Condos over the last ten years in the common areas and the atrium in the middle of the building. You do not see a lot of turnover in the building.
One of the best features is that the Henderson has a great location to French Quarter, Outlet Mall, Harrah's Casino, and many local places to eat and drink.
